CBRE is looking for a seasoned Critical Facilities Lead for a prestigious client based in BKC, Mumbai. The role will lead mission-critical engineering operations across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, with responsibility for infrastructure reliability, incident management, engineering governance, asset lifecycle, CAPEX, risk & compliance, sustainability and engineering capability development. Candidates should have 12+ years of experience in Data Centers, BFSI, Technology, Critical Facilities or Corporate Real Estate environments with a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

1. Critical Facilities Operations & Reliability

- Lead Critical Workplace and Engineering Operations across the portfolio.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation and operational readiness of all mission-critical infrastructure.
- Establish and maintain robust engineering governance frameworks.
- Drive Preventive, Predictive and Condition-Based Maintenance strategies.
- Review engineering performance, system reliability and critical asset health across sites.
- Lead annual shutdown planning and execution.
- Develop and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to MOPs, SOPs and EOPs.
- Drive consistency in engineering standards and operating practices across locations.

2. Incident Management & Business Resilience

- Lead engineering response during critical incidents, emergencies and crisis situations.
- Manage escalation of critical infrastructure failures.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA)



for significant incidents and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs.
- Lead infrastructure resilience assessments and testing.
- Ensure lessons learned from incidents are implemented across the portfolio.

3. Asset Lifecycle & Capital Planning

- Develop lifecycle replacement strategies for critical engineering assets.
- Maintain critical asset registers, risk profiles and replacement roadmaps.
- Identify and mitigate End-of-Life / End-of-Support infrastructure risks.
- Support the development and prioritization of Capital Investment / CAPEX programs.
- Prioritize asset replacement based on reliability risk and business impact.
- Conduct technical reviews for infrastructure modernization and upgrade programs.

4. Engineering Governance, Risk & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with client requirements, CBRE standards, statutory regulations and engineering best practices.
- Lead technical audits, engineering reviews and infrastructure risk assessments.
- Maintain the Critical Facilities Risk Register.
- Review and identify Single Points of Failure (SPOF).
- Develop mitigation strategies for risks related to power, cooling,



fire protection and other critical infrastructure.
- Support internal, external and regulatory audits and drive timely closure of findings.
- Monitor engineering service providers and vendor performance.

5. Critical Engineering Projects

- Provide technical governance and oversight for infrastructure and engineering CAPEX projects.
- Review engineering designs and technical specifications.
- Support procurement and technical bid evaluations.
- Oversee commissioning, testing and handover of critical systems.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where required.
- Validate operational readiness before project closure and handover.

6. Sustainability & Energy Optimization

- Drive engineering-led energy efficiency initiatives.
- Support organizational Net Zero and carbon reduction objectives.
- Optimize electrical and cooling system performance.
- Identify opportunities for energy and water conservation.
- Evaluate emerging engineering technologies and digital solutions that can improve reliability and efficiency.

7. Engineering Leadership & Capability Development

- Provide leadership to Engineering Managers, Chief Engineers and Site Engineering Teams.
- Develop engineering competency and capability frameworks.
- Coach and mentor engineering teams.
- Develop succession plans for critical engineering positions.
- Drive standardization of engineering practices.
- Promote innovation, digitalization and engineering analytics across the portfolio.
