About the Role

An established precision cutting and polishing company with international group operations is launching a precious coloured gemstone vertical for the luxury watchmaking and high-jewellery segment. At the centre of this role is establishing a recent coloured gemstone cutting and polishing unit in Jaipur, from planning and setup through to full production. We are hiring two experienced professionals to build and lead it.

Key Responsibility: Establishing the Cutting & Polishing Unit

- Plan and set up a coloured gemstone cutting and polishing facility in Jaipur, covering layout, equipment, tooling, workflow and security.
- Recruit, train and lead a team of skilled cutters, polishers and quality staff from the Jaipur karigar network.
- Define production processes for calibrated cutting for watch settings (baguettes, tapered baguettes, calibr rounds), with tight tolerances.
- Build capability for colour-matched suites and gradients, custom cuts to client drawings, and colour-retaining cutting that optimises yield.
- Set up quality control, inspection standards,



stone tracking and inventory control across the production cycle.
- Scale the unit from pilot orders to consistent production that meets luxury-brand quality and delivery timelines.

Procurement Responsibilities

- Source rough and polished emerald, ruby, sapphire, padparadscha and other precious coloured stones through established auctions and tenders (including Gemfields and Fura) and verified trade sources.
- Build a supplier network across key markets: Jaipur, Sri Lanka, Thailand (Bangkok/Chanthaburi), Mozambique, Zambia, Colombia, Madagascar, Tanzania and others as relevant.
- Evaluate and buy heated, unheated, treated, untreated, natural and synthetic material with correct identification, pricing and disclosure.
- Ensure provenance, chain of custody and supplier due diligence meet the compliance standards of Swiss and international luxury houses.
- Coordinate laboratory certification (SSEF, Gbelin, GRS, AGL, GIA or equivalent).
