Position: CNC and VMC Machine Operator

Job Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Experience Required: Minimum 4 to 7 Years

Salary: 35,000 45,000 per month

Salary: Based on experience, skills and interview performance

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC and VMC machines efficiently as per production requirements.
- Set up machines, tools, fixtures and workpieces before starting production.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and machining specifications.
- Select and change appropriate cutting tools based on machining requirements.
- Monitor machine operations and ensure smooth production.
- Check component dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge and Bore Gauge.
- Identify machining defects and make necessary adjustments to achieve required quality.
- Perform tool offset corrections and basic machine parameter adjustments.
- Maintain proper surface finish and dimensional accuracy of components.
- Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.




- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Report machine problems, tool wear and production issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper records of production and quality inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 47 years of relevant experience in CNC / VMC machine operation.
- Valuable practical knowledge of CNC and VMC machining processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets and machining parameters.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of tolerances, dimensions and surface finish requirements.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic machining issues.
- Knowledge of Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Siemens controls will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with the production team.
