Key Responsibilities

* Install, configure, manage, and maintain database systems.

* Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.

* Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.

* Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.

* Identify and resolve database performance issues and errors.

* Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database performance.

* Manage database users, roles, permissions, and access.

* Perform database upgrades, patches, migrations, and maintenance.

* Monitor database health and proactively troubleshoot issues.

* Develop and maintain database documentation and operational procedures.

* Work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, and IT teams to support application requirements.

* Ensure high availability and reliability of critical databases.

* Handle production database issues and provide timely resolutions.

* Manage production databases, monitor database performance and availability, optimize queries, handle backup and restore operations, maintain database security, troubleshoot database issues, and automate routine DBA tasks.

Required Skills

* Strong knowledge of SQL and Database Administration.





* Strong hands-on experience with MySQL Database Administration is mandatory.

* Strong hands-on experience with Amazon AWS RDS is mandatory.

* Hands-on experience managing MySQL databases in production environments.

* PostgreSQL Database Administration experience is a valuable-to-have / additional advantage.

* Experience working in Linux environment..

* Good understanding of database backup and recovery strategies.

* Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.

* Experience identifying and troubleshooting slow-running queries.

* Good understanding of indexing and query optimization.

* Understanding of database security, permissions, and access management.

* Experience with troubleshooting production database issues.

* Knowledge of replication, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.

* Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Strong hands-on experience with AWS RDS, database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting.
