Role & responsibilities

- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the hospital and ensure smooth functioning of all departments.
- Ensure efficient patient flow, admission, discharge, appointments, and service delivery.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, administration, billing, insurance, pharmacy, diagnostics, housekeeping, security, maintenance, and other departments.
- Monitor patient satisfaction, complaints, waiting time, and service quality and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Lead and manage department heads and staff to achieve operational targets and improve productivity.
- Monitor bed occupancy, patient volumes, departmental performance, manpower utilization, and operational KPIs.
- Ensure adequate manpower, equipment, infrastructure, and other resources for uninterrupted hospital operations.
- Implement and monitor SOPs, policies, quality standards, patient-safety practices, and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality team for quality improvement and accreditation initiatives.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve efficiency.




- Monitor operational expenses and implement effective cost-control and resource-utilization measures.
- Oversee housekeeping, security, maintenance, biomedical equipment coordination, laundry, cafeteria, and other support services.
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and patient-friendly hospital environment.
- Conduct regular operational review meetings and follow up on departmental action plans.
- Handle escalated patient and operational issues and ensure effective resolution.
- Analyze operational data and prepare management reports and performance reviews.
- Support senior management in strategic planning, business growth, budgeting, and development of hospital services.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience, operational efficiency, service quality, and revenue-supporting processes.
- Build a robust culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and patient-centric care.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between all levels of hospital staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve better operational performance and quality healthcare delivery.
