Fresh N Healthy is building a technology-enabled corporate food ordering and cafeteria platform. We are looking for a Backend Developer who can take end-to-end ownership of the backend, from project setup and architecture through development, deployment, production support and ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop backend services using Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS/Express.js.
- Build secure, scalable and maintainable REST APIs for mobile and admin applications.
- Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, schemas, relationships, queries and migrations.
- Implement authentication and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Develop modules such as:
- Users & authentication
- Companies & locations
- Menu/products
- Orders
- Payments
- Inventory
- Notifications
- Reports

- Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, Firebase/FCM, SMS, email and other APIs as required.
- Coordinate closely with the Flutter Developer for API contracts, integration and troubleshooting.
- Use Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation.
- Set up and maintain development, staging and production environments.
- Deploy and maintain backend applications on AWS/Azure/GCP or other cloud platforms.
- Work with Linux, Nginx, PM2/Docker and production infrastructure as required.
- Implement validation, error handling, logging, security and performance optimization.
- Handle database migrations, backups and recovery practices.




- Monitor production applications and troubleshoot backend, API and database issues.
- Follow Git/GitHub-based development and code review practices.
- Maintain technical documentation and backend architecture documentation.
- Handle ongoing maintenance, bug fixing and security updates.
- Work closely with the Engineering Lead, Flutter Developer and future QA team.

Required Skills

- 25 years of backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience with NestJS or Express.js.
- Strong REST API development experience.
- Good experience with PostgreSQL / relational databases.
- Experience with Prisma, TypeORM or another ORM.
- Experience with JWT authentication and RBAC.
- Git and GitHub.
- Experience with Linux and backend deployment.
- Understanding of production troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of API security, validation and error handling.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of backend development.
