Role: Senior Developer Python (Azure)

Experience Level: 4 - 6 Years

We are looking for a hands-on Python Developer with solid experience in Python development, API building, and data/automation scripting. This is a delivery-focused, hands-on role. The successful candidate will write, test, and ship reliable Python code and automation solutions in an Azure-based, enterprise environment, working under the guidance of senior engineers and a technical lead.

This role emphasizes strong Python coding fundamentals and steady delivery, with good scope to grow into AI/GenAI engineering over time.

Responsibilities

Hands-On Python Development (Core Expectation)

- Write clean, working Python code for application logic, integrations, and automation.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask, following existing patterns and standards.
- Build and maintain Python components for:
- Data extraction, validation, transformation, and reporting.
- Automation scripts, scheduled jobs, and backend utilities.

- Work with data processing using Pandas; assist in building and maintaining data/ETL scripts.
- Write maintainable, readable Python code, with:

- Unit tests and basic integration tests.
- Proper error handling and logging.

- Perform Excel and PDF document processing (reading, creating, updating) using Python libraries.

Quality & Delivery

- Take ownership of assigned tasks, features,



and modules, ensuring they work correctly and are delivered on time.
- Follow team coding standards, review guidelines, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews (as reviewer and reviewee) and act on feedback.
- Debug and fix issues in your components, escalating complex problems to senior engineers when needed.
- Maintain basic documentation for the code and workflows you build.

AI / GenAI / LLM Exposure (Basic / Learning)

- Use AI / GenAI / LLM features in Python workflows via existing libraries and APIs, following patterns defined by senior engineers.
- Understand basic concepts of RAG, embeddings, and prompt-based interactions at a conceptual/working level.
- Apply simple output checks (e.g., validating format/structure of AI responses) as guided.

Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

- 4 – 6 years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Robust grasp of Python fundamentals - data structures, OOP, error handling, and writing clean, working code.
- Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
- Good working knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, basic optimization) with any relational database.
- Hands-on experience with Pandas for data processing.
- Basic awareness of AI / GenAI / LLM concepts and interest in working with AI-enabled workflows.
