Role Summary
The Sales Executive is the field link between SuperK and its franchise store partners. The role involves visiting assigned stores daily, supporting franchise partners in running their stores to SuperK standards, executing in-store promotions, and driving sales growth across the cluster.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Store Visits and Monitoring
- Visit assigned stores every day as per the approved beat plan.
- Check store presentation: cleanliness, shelf stocking, planogram compliance, pricing and signage.
- Verify stock availability, identify fast-moving items that are running out, and flag slow-moving or near-expiry stock.
- Submit a daily visit report with observations, issues and action points.
2. Franchise Partner Management
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with franchise partners and their store staff.
- Ensure partners follow SuperK's operating standards, policies and brand guidelines.
- Guide partners on ordering, inventory planning and replenishment.
- Resolve partner queries and operational issues, escalating to the Area Manager when needed.
- Hold regular review meetings with partners on sales performance, targets and improvement areas.
3. Promotional Activities
- Execute company-approved promotions, offers and campaigns at store level.
- Ensure correct placement of POS material, banners, danglers, standees and display units.
- Plan and run in-store activities such as sampling, product demonstrations, festive campaigns and local events.
- Track promotion results (footfall, sales uplift) and report what worked.
4. Sales Growth
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned stores.
- Analyse store-wise and category-wise sales data to find gaps and opportunities.
- Drive higher basket size, repeat purchases and customer loyalty.
- Push priority categories and current product launches, including private label products.
- Train store staff on product knowledge, upselling and customer handling.
5. Reporting and Coordination
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports on visits, sales, stock and promotions.
- Coordinate with the supply chain, marketing and HR teams on store requirements.
- Share local market insights, including competitor pricing, offers and customer feedback.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales target achievement (per store and cluster)
- Number of store visits completed vs. plan
- Store standards audit score (display, hygiene, planogram)
- Stock availability and reduction in stock-outs
- Promotion execution rate and sales uplift
- Franchise partner satisfaction and issue closure time
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (BBA/MBA in Sales or Marketing preferred).
- 13 years of field sales experience in retail, FMCG or franchise operations.
- Experience handling retail stores or channel partners is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, especially with franchise owners
- Good negotiation and persuasion ability
- Working knowledge of retail merchandising and visual display
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, WhatsApp/mobile reporting and data entry
- Fluency in Telugu and working English or Hindi
- Self-driven, target-oriented and comfortable with daily field travel
- Ability to work in Tier 2/3/4 markets
