- Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and NGO-specific requirements
- Ensure timely accounting of income, grants, donations, and project expenditures
- Assist in preparation of Prepare financial statements and reports for donors, management, and statutory authorities
- Ensure timely payment of statutory dues (TDS, PF, ESI, GST if applicable) and filing of returns
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and provide necessary documentation
- Support donor audits
- Maintain documentation and ensure audit-ready records at all times
- Liaise with program teams for financial inputs, fund requirements, and compliance checks
Requirements
Required Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of NGO financial operations and compliance
- Positive knowledge in TDS & GST ( to ensure timely payments and filing of returns)
- Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy
- Good communication skills for donor and team coordination
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
