- Develop logistics network management / growth plan for secondary logistics including FOR implementation plan for identified locations
- Provides inputs for annual logistics plan for supporting execution of orders for White Cement products for the Division
- Manage the secondary logistics for the Division to ensure fulfilment of planned sales while managing logistics costs within defined limits
- Manage the secondary logistics movement for FOR model including monitoring on-time delivery, small load delivery, identification of new CFAs etc. for the Division to improve market penetration & market share
- Undertake inventory management across locations to ensure arrange availability of the right product at the right time at the right place in a cost-efficient manner – in co-ordination with primary logistics team – in line with the dispatch plan from marketing
- Oversee the successful implementation of various aspects of GTM as per plan including finalisation of new warehouses, LCMD etc.
Logistics Network Development & Improvement
- Contribute to development of logistics network as per capacity required for business plan achievement including – identifying new CFAs & locations, setting up operations at CFAs (with CTS approval), putting together secondary transportation & CFAs agreements, etc.
- Undertake regular review of competitor agreements, market scenario (fuel price changes, etc.)
to renegotiate with transporters & CFAs
- Participate in identification & on-boarding of new 3PL operators to enhance quality of services & competition in prices
- Monitors adherence to warehouse SOPs through random checks & audits with CTS support
- Implement cost optimisation initiatives to ensure savings in the overall logistics cost in the Division
- Manage and monitor key initiatives in secondary logistics such as space & rental optimisations, CFA evaluations, low-cost mini-depots, handling cost reduction, distribution infrastructure development and cost rationalisation etc.
- Supports implementation of e-enablement / automation of various logistics process to ensure ease of use, effective monitoring and control mechanism

- Manage people development initiatives within the team to ensure a capable and motivated workforce
- Develop team capability to enable future qualified growth
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum Degree: MBA/PGDM or equivalent
degree preferably in SCM
- Minimum Years / type of experience:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in core supply chain function including management of secondary logistics, CFA, inventory & warehousing in a consumer industry
- Area-specific knowledge:
- Knowledge of entire supply chain processes
- Analytical ability & attention to detail o Understanding of industry market functioning
