The job role entails in supporting the Head Setting (RIL Manufacturing Sites) in the areas of Environmental Compliances and Environmental Management Systems
Job Accountabilities
1. Monitor the environmental parameters at site for air emissions, water discharges, noise levels, solid / hazardous waste etc., as per requirements of SPCB.
2. Reporting deviations in monitored environmental parameters & plan corrective actions.
3. Prepare documents for renewal of consents (CCA), consent to establish (CTE), authorizations, etc.
4. Ensure timely submission of the monthly / half yearly compliance reports to the statutory agencies.
5. Performance evaluation of Pollution Control Equipment.
6. Update and maintain records of the monitoring procedures.
7. Co-ordinate with SPCB officials during site inspection for routine monitoring, renewal / grant of consents / authorizations.
8. Conduct internal / external audits under Integrated Management Systems.
9. Review the achievement of objectives and targets set under EMS and maintaining and continually improving EMS.

Impart training to all the employees / contractors on environmental compliance/ management
11. Any other job assigned by sectional Head (Environment)in the areas of Environmental Compliances and Environmental Management Systems
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
Sound knowledge of Environmental Legislations and Environmental Management Systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Hands on experience on computer skills
- Be a team player
Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
Necessary:
- Degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering with Post Graduation in Environmental Science/ engineering or equivalent
- 8 - 10 years of working experience in manufacturing site preferably in petroleum / petrochemical / chemical units in the areas of environmental monitoring and compliance.
Desirable
- Certified ISO-14001 auditor.
- Additional qualifications in Safety & Occupational health
