Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze and assess existing mainframe applications to identify remediation requirements for cloud migration.
- Modify and remediate COBOL applications for compatibility with Micro Focus Enterprise Server on AWS.
- Review, update, and optimize JCL, batch jobs, utilities, and application interfaces.
- Document application dependencies, business logic, and technical architecture components.
- Develop, enhance, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Perform code remediation and resolve platform compatibility, performance, and application issues.
- Support migration and testing of CICS online transactions, batch workloads, and related interfaces.
- Assist with DB2, VSAM, IDMS, and flat-file data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and DevOps teams on AWS deployments and CI/CD implementation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- 6 to 8 Years of experience in Mainframe Application Development.
- Hands-on experience with COBOL development and support.
- Experience with Micro Focus technologies, including Enterprise Developer, Enterprise Server.
- Strong experience with COBOL,JCL,CICS,DB2,VSAM.
- Ability to work in Agile and cross-functional project teams.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in Mainframe Modernization projects.
- Exposure to AWS cloud environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with source control tools such as GitHub.
