Purpose/Objective

Lead – BIM Modelling plays a strategic role in design, planning & implementation, in precast construction projects.
The role involves advanced 3D modelling, cross-functional coordination, clash detection, and data integrity management.
The individual leads drafting and detailing efforts, guiding the integration of architectural, structural, and MEP components using platforms such as Tekla, Allplan, and Revit.
This position ensures seamless coordination across stakeholders while optimizing constructability, design clarity, and compliance with precast standards.

Key Responsibilities of Role

BIM Modelling Execution: Lead the creation of 3D BIM models for precast elements using software such as Tekla, Allplan, and Revit, ensuring alignment with design intent and industry practices.
Guide draftsman & detailers to ensure quality & timelines.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate actively with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) teams, as well as structural and civil engineers, to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
Work closely with draftsmen and detailers to guide reinforcement detailing and define spacing based on incoming drafts, inputs, and service layout requirements.
Design Integration & Clash Resolution: Facilitate clash detection across architectural, structural, and MEP models to enhance constructability, identify conflicts, and implement corrective design measures.
Risk Management: Ensure accuracy and consistency in BIM models, including element properties, connections, and embedded data, across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Technical Documentation: Generate comprehensive 3D drawings, section views, and technical documentation to support fabrication, construction, and on-site execution workflows.
Technical Training & Support: Provide guidance and technical training to team members on BIM workflows,



tools, and best practices to enhance overall modelling efficiency.
Tekla Structures, Revit Code Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to national and project-specific standards while modelling and coordinate with municipal and external authorities to integrate manholes, electrical lines, and other utility infrastructure.
Innovation & Technology Advancement: Stay up to date with the latest trends in BIM technologies, exploring ways to integrate innovations for enhanced productivity and modelling quality in precast applications.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master Engineering Work Experience: 15--18 years of experience in BIM and 3D modelling within the precast construction industry
