Role & responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead and support the team, ensuring effective allocation and timely delivery of work.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support in resolving engineering issues.
- Manage priorities effectively and respond to changing project requirements.
- Build and sustain FV's technical knowledge and expertise related to core components.

2. Project Component Engineering

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality component engineering and manufacturing drawings as per project requirements and timelines.
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings for in-house manufactured and bought-out components.
- Ensure drawings and designs meet applicable technical, quality and project requirements.

3. Product Development, Innovation & Standardization

- Own the mechanical development, improvement, innovation and standardization of core products/components.
- Perform or coordinate pressure-part and process engineering calculations, P&ID; development and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
- Lead prototype development, testing and evaluation.
- Conduct mechanical design risk assessments, including fatigue analysis where applicable.
- Benchmark components against market and competitor solutions to identify improvement opportunities.
- Apply Design for Function, Cost,



Manufacturing and Serviceability (DFx) principles.
- Develop and maintain customized 3D parametric models and engineering standards.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of component designs and engineering practices.
- Collaborate closely with other Engineering teams, Manufacturing Technology and Manufacturing functions.

4. Internal Customer & Technical Support

- Provide technical and product support to Sales, Project Management and After-Sales/Service teams.

Support resolution of technical queries and product-related issues.

Preferred candidate profile

Education-Master / Bachelors in mechanical, power or heat transfer Engineering or equivalent through experience

Experience-10 years of experience in component engineering or technical project management.

Experience of leading a small team is an added advantage.

Technical-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor, with solid knowledge of 3D modelling and design.

Strong understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, cost implications and design-for-manufacturing principles.

Ability to identify improvement opportunities and apply standardization and continuous improvement practices.
