Position: School Electrician / Electrical Supervisor

We are looking for a qualified and responsible School Electrician / Electrical Supervisor to manage, inspect, repair, and maintain all electrical systems across the school campus. The candidate will ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply for classrooms, laboratories, offices, hostels, playground lighting, water pumps, generators, and other school facilities. The applicant must have a Certification in Electronic Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and must hold a valid Electrical Supervisor License with 33kV authorization.

Required Qualifications

- Certification in Electronic Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid Electrical Supervisor License with 33kV license authorization.
- Knowledge of school campus electrical systems, HT/LT panels, generators, lighting, earthing, and safety procedures.
- Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work in schools, colleges, institutions, commercial buildings, or similar facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and repair electrical systems in classrooms, laboratories, offices, library, auditorium, hostels, staff rooms, kitchen, playground, and other school areas.
- Supervise electrical works and ensure secure operation of electrical systems, including HT/LT panels and installations up to 33kV where applicable.
- Check and maintain lighting, fans, switches, wiring, sockets, distribution boards, water pump motors, generators,



UPS systems, and related equipment.
- Attend electrical complaints promptly and resolve faults with minimum disturbance to school activities.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and safety inspections of school electrical installations.
- Ensure electrical safety for students, teachers, staff, and visitors by following approved safety practices and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with school administration, maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors for repair and project work.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance work, electrical permits, test reports, and equipment service history.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of HT and LT electrical systems used in institutional buildings.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical safety, earthing systems, protection systems, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work safely around students, staff, and school property.
- Good communication, discipline, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond quickly to electrical emergencies and support school events when required.

Preferred Experience

Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in school, college, institutional campus, commercial building, facility maintenance, power distribution, or substation electrical maintenance is preferred. Experience in handling 33kV electrical systems will be an added advantage.
