The incumbent will be responsible for identifying capability-building needs and designing, delivering and evaluating learning interventions for employees across regions. The role requires a solid combination of training facilitation, content creation, digital learning, learning technology management, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Learning Needs Analysis
- Partner with business leaders, operational teams and functional stakeholders to identify current and future capability-building requirements.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis through stakeholder discussions, performance data, audits, employee feedback, competency assessments and operational observations.
- Recommend appropriate learning formats such as classroom training, virtual sessions, e-learning modules, videos, toolkits, job aids and on-the-job assignments.
2. Learning Content Creation
- Design and develop engaging learning content for classroom, virtual and digital learning programmes.
- Create facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations, training videos, e-learning modules, assessments, case studies, simulations, activities, quizzes, infographics and job aids.
- Design content based on adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies and business requirements.
- Customise learning content for different audiences, roles and levels of experience.
- Review and update existing learning materials to keep them accurate, relevant and engaging.
- Ensure that all learning content follows organisational branding, quality and compliance standards.
3. Session Delivery
- Facilitate classroom, virtual and blended learning programmes for employees.
- Deliver sessions using engaging techniques such as discussions, role plays, simulations, case studies, group activities and practical assignments.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and application.
- Adapt facilitation style according to the audience, subject and learning objectives.
- Support Train-the-Trainer programmes and capability building of internal trainers or subject matter experts.

Learning Management System
- Use the organisations Learning Management System to upload, assign, manage and track learning programmes.
- Manage learner groups, course catalogues, learning paths, assessments, certifications, and completion records.
- Monitor LMS reports to identify pending learning, low completion rates and learner engagement patterns.
- Coordinate with LMS administrators, technology teams and content partners to resolve learner or system-related issues.
- Support the testing and deployment of digital learning content, including SCORM-based modules.
5. AI-Enabled Learning and Productivity
- Demonstrate working knowledge of basic AI tools used for content creation, research, productivity and learning support.
- Use generative AI tools responsibly to support content creation, assessment and communication.
- Write effective prompts to generate accurate, relevant and audience-specific outputs.
- Review and validate all AI-generated content before its use in training interventions.
- Support employees and trainers in developing basic AI literacy and confidence.
6. Training Data, Effectiveness and Dashboard Creation
- Maintain accurate training data covering nominations, participation, completion, assessment scores, feedback and learning hours.
- Create training dashboards and management reports using Excel, Power BI or other reporting tools.
- Monitor key training metrics
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, manager observations, performance indicators and business outcomes.
- Use suitable evaluation methodologies to measure learner reaction, knowledge gained, behavioural application and business impact.
- Prepare post-training reports highlighting outcomes, insights,
challenges and recommendations.
- Track action plans arising from dashboard reviews and training effectiveness discussions.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Conduct structured discussions with stakeholders to understand performance challenges and learning expectations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding timelines, resources, content development and programme outcomes.
- Collect feedback from stakeholders and learners to strengthen future learning interventions.
- Ensure timely closure of agreed action items.
Educational Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Learning and Development or Business Management will be preferred.
- Certification in Train-the-Trainer, Instructional Design, Digital Learning, Facilitation or Learning Analytics will be an advantage.
Experience
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Training, Learning and Development, Instructional Design or Organisational Capability Building.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in independently managing training programmes or learning projects.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or a large multi-location organisation will be preferred.
- Proven experience in content development, facilitation, LMS management and training data reporting.
- Experience in managing learning programmes for frontline employees and people managers will be an advantage.
Functional Skills
The candidate should have working knowledge of the following:
