Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled API Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in API testing using Rest Assured and backend validation using SQL. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing automation frameworks, validating RESTful services, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain API automation scripts using Rest Assured.
- Validate REST APIs, request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and schemas.
- Perform backend database validation using SQL queries.
- Create and execute automation test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Build and enhance reusable automation frameworks.




- Integrate automation suites with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers for resolution.
- Prepare test reports and maintain automation documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Solid hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured.
- Good knowledge of SQL joins, queries, subqueries, stored procedures, and data validation.
- Experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins, and defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
