On-Prem SQL Server DBA Azure / Hybrid Cloud -

Experience: 5–8 years

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

- Robust hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server DBA activities across enterprise production environments.
- Expertise in SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, maintenance, backup/recovery, security and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, execution plans, blocking, deadlocks and wait-statistics analysis.
- Hands-on experience with HA/DR, including Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances, log shipping and replication.
- Experience supporting Azure hybrid database environments, including Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
- Experience with Azure database migration,



including Azure Migrate and Azure Database Migration Service.
- Good understanding of Azure networking, VNets, Private Endpoints, Entra ID/RBAC, Managed Identity and Key Vault from a DBA perspective.
- Experience with PowerShell/Azure CLI automation, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Strong production-support experience covering L2/L3 troubleshooting, incident management, RCA, change management and problem management.
- Ability to work with on-prem, Azure, application and data engineering teams in a global offshore support model.
- Strong documentation skills, including SOPs, runbooks and DR procedures.
- Willingness to participate in on-call/247 support, if required
