Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech (Civil Engineering) or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Additional certification in Quantity Surveying, Estimation, Contracts Management or Primavera/MS Project will be an added advantage

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly competent and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in EPC, Design & Build, and Contractor-side project execution. The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of quantity take-offs, estimation, rate analysis, project costing, billing, material reconciliation, labour planning, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires close coordination with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement Teams, Consultants, and Clients to ensure accurate quantity management, cost optimization, and commercial control of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Take-Off & Estimation

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Develop project cost estimates and budgets for civil, architectural, structural, and finishing works.
- Verify BOQs and identify quantity deviations, omissions, and scope gaps.
- Prepare pre-bid and post-award quantity assessments.

Rate Analysis & Costing

- Prepare detailed rate analysis for all construction activities.
- Develop resource-based costing considering labour, material, plant, equipment, wastage, overheads, and profit margins.
- Maintain updated databases for material rates, labour productivity, and subcontractor pricing.
- Support management in pricing strategy and cost optimization initiatives.

Billing & Commercial Management

- Prepare client RA bills and subcontractor bills.




- Verify measurements and certify quantities executed at site.
- Track billing status, certification, and payment follow-up.
- Evaluate variation orders, extra items, and claims.
- Maintain billing registers and commercial reports.

Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)

- Prepare and review reinforcement quantity calculations and Bar Bending Schedules.
- Monitor steel consumption against approved quantities.
- Analyze steel wastage and recommend optimization measures.
- Coordinate with procurement and site execution teams for reinforcement planning.

Material Planning & Reconciliation

- Prepare project-wise material requirement plans.
- Monitor material consumption against budgeted quantities.
- Conduct monthly material reconciliation for cement, steel, blocks, concrete, finishing materials, and MEP items.
- Identify wastage trends and implement corrective actions.

Labour Planning & Productivity Monitoring

- Prepare labour deployment plans based on project schedules.
- Monitor labour productivity and resource utilization.
- Analyze productivity benchmarks and recommend improvements.
- Support project teams in manpower budgeting and forecasting.

Cost Control & MIS

- Establish project cost control mechanisms.
- Track budget vs actual quantities and costs.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and management MIS.
- Identify cost overruns and recommend mitigation measures.

Contracts & Procurement Support

- Assist procurement team in quantity verification and vendor evaluation.




- Review subcontractor quotations and commercial comparisons.
- Support preparation of work orders and subcontract agreements.
- Verify contractor and supplier claims.

Key Skills Required

- Expert knowledge of Quantity Surveying practices.
- Strong understanding of EPC, Contractor-side and Design-Build project execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Rate Analysis and Cost Estimation.
- Extensive experience in BBS preparation and reinforcement quantity calculations.
- Expertise in Material Consumption Analysis and Reconciliation.
- Knowledge of Labour Productivity Analysis and Resource Planning.
- Solid understanding of IS Codes, Construction Methodologies, and Specifications.
- Experience in Tendering, BOQ preparation, and Cost Planning.
- Ability to interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in Commercial Buildings, Data Centres, Industrial, Infrastructure, Institutional or Large EPC Projects.
- Strong contractor-side execution exposure.
- Ability to independently manage project commercial and quantity surveying functions.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and delivering under tight timelines.
