Lead the solar design and engineering function for ground-mounted solar projects above 5 MW, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, compliant, and timely design deliverables.

Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and manage the design and engineering team
- Oversee PV system design for ground-mounted solar projects above 5 MW
- Review and approve technical drawings, designs, and engineering documents
- Conduct and review load analysis, shading analysis, and energy production estimates
- Ensure designs meet performance, cost, safety, quality, and schedule requirements
- Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Construction, and Installation teams
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and permits
- Conduct design quality checks and identify potential technical risks
- Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and project documentation
- Manage design revisions, updates, and document control
- Support continuous improvement of design processes and engineering standards

Requirements

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical




- 8-14 years experience in solar system design (> 5 MW ground-mounted projects)
- 3-5 years experience in a design leadership/managerial role
- Strong knowledge of PV systems, inverters, modules, transformers, and mounting systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, SketchUp, HelioScope, and solar design tools
- Knowledge of SCADA systems is an advantage
- Solid understanding of IEC, NEC, and applicable local standards and regulations
- Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
