Senior SAP Commerce Developer (Offshore Hyderabad)

Role Summary:
We're looking for a Senior SAP Commerce (Hybris) Developer with 5–10 years of hands-on experience to design, build, and support enterprise B2B eCommerce capabilities on SAP Commerce Cloud. This role spans end-to-end development across SAP Commerce Core, OCC (Omni Commerce Connect) REST services, SOLR-based search and merchandising, and the B2B Commerce accelerator — working within an Agile delivery model alongside product owners, architects, and QA.
Experience: 5–10 years in SAP Commerce / SAP Hybris development.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and unit-test custom functionality on SAP Commerce Core — data models (items.xml), service and facade layers, cron jobs, ImpEx, interceptors, and event listeners.
Build and extend OCC REST APIs to support headless storefronts, Spartacus / composable UI, and third-party channel integrations, including DTO mapping, validation, and versioning.
Implement and tune SOLR search — indexed properties, indexer cron jobs, facets, boost rules, synonyms, stopwords, autocomplete, and relevancy tuning for large B2B catalogues.
Deliver SAP Commerce B2B capabilities: organizational hierarchies, B2B units and user groups, cost centers, budgets, quotes, approval workflows, contract-based pricing, and order replenishment.
Integrate SAP Commerce with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and surrounding systems for product, pricing, inventory, customer, and order flows (OCI/OCC, IDoc, middleware, or API-based).




Own code quality — peer reviews, coding standards, SonarQube findings, JUnit/integration test coverage, and defect remediation.
Participate fully in Agile ceremonies — backlog refinement, estimation, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
Required Skills and Experience
5–10 years of skilled software development experience, primarily in SAP Commerce Cloud / SAP Hybris.
Strong core Java and Spring skills, with a solid grounding in OOP, design patterns, and REST API design.
Deep working knowledge of SAP Commerce Core: type system, ServiceLayer, FlexibleSearch, ImpEx, Model–Service–Facade layering, cron jobs, and extension development.
Demonstrable experience building and consuming OCC web services for headless or composable storefronts.
Hands-on SOLR experience — index configuration, indexer strategies, facet and boost rule design, and search relevancy tuning.
Practical delivery experience with SAP Commerce B2B, including B2B units, approval workflows, quotes, and account-based pricing.
Experience across the full eCommerce journey: catalogue and product content, cart, checkout, payment, and order management.
Working knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2).
Experience working in Agile teams.
Desirable
SAP Commerce Cloud certification (Development).
Spartacus / Composable Storefront (Angular) development experience.
Integration experience with SAP S/4HANA.
