Job Description Sr. Purchase Executive (Electronics)

Experience: 3-5 Years

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical or Graduate with relevant experience

Job Summary

Responsible for procurement of electronic components, PCB assemblies, electrical/mechanical items and production materials, ensuring timely delivery, quality and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Source electronic components, PCB assemblies, cables, connectors and production materials.
- Obtain RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate prices and commercial terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery.
- Develop and manage vendors; identify alternate suppliers.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Planning and Logistics teams.
- Monitor inventory/reorder levels and pending POs.
- Ensure materials meet required technical specifications and quality standards.
- Resolve shortages, incorrect/damaged materials and vendor quality issues.




- Maintain BOM, vendor records, quotations, purchase history and procurement documentation.
- Support cost reduction and alternate sourcing initiatives.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of electronic components: ICs, Microcontrollers, Resistors, Capacitors, Diodes, MOSFETs, Relays, Connectors, Sensors, LEDs, etc.
- Understanding of PCB manufacturing & assembly and BOM management.
- Vendor development, supplier evaluation & vendor management.
- Robust negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.
- Cost analysis, quotation comparison and price negotiation.
- Inventory management & Purchase Order processing.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables & basic formulas.
- Familiarity with ERP/Tally Prime preferred.
- Knowledge of electronic components, BOM, procurement processes and inventory control.
