Role & responsibilities

NCL Buildtek Ltd is Hiring for Assistant Manager/Manager for Product Design & Development to lead the engineering, innovation, and optimization of our high-performance Aluminum Windows and Doors Systems. In this role, you will manage the complete product lifecyclefrom conceptual CAD design and prototyping to hardware integration, manufacturing optimization, and structural validation. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in slimline, minimal, and premium architectural systems, ensuring compliance with global performance standards (ASTM, AAMA, IS).

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Engineering

- System Design: Lead the design and development of innovative Aluminum fenestration products, including Casement, Sliding, Lift & Slide,Slimline, and Minimal window and door systems.
- CAD Modelling: Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create exact 3D models, complex assemblies, and detailed production/application drawings.
- Technical Standards: Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;) to ensure high-precision manufacturing, structural integrity, and flawless product fitment.

Hardware Integration & Innovation

- Hardware Customization: Source, integrate, and customize specialized hardware components such as concealed hinges, heavy-duty rollers, multi-point locking mechanisms, and advanced smart systems (e.g., RFID or magnetic levitation hardware).
- Aesthetics &Performance;:



Balance structural wind-load requirements with modern minimalist aesthetics, such as developing ultra-slim interlock and sightline profiles.

Validation, Testing & Compliance

- Performance Testing: Orchestrate and oversee performance mock-up testing to strictly validate structural parameters, air infiltration, and water tightness limits (targeting performance thresholds upwards of 450 Pa).
- Industry Compliance: Ensure all new and customized systems fully comply with ASTM, AAMA, and IS standards.

Manufacturing Support & Value Engineering

- Tooling & Fixtures: Design essential injection moulds, casting dies, and machine shop jigs/fixtures to minimize production cycle times and reduce errors.
- Cost Optimization: Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize aluminum profile weight, streamline manufacturing workflows, and reduce material waste.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate closely with external component vendors and toolmakers to resolve technical anomalies and ensure timely execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Technical Sales Support: Provide expert structural and design solutions to sales, project execution, and site installation teams to address complex architectural requirements.

Site Supervision: Conduct selective site visits to audit installation methodologies, resolve field engineering issues, and run internal product reviews.
