Role Overview
We are looking for a driven, well-networked Business Development Manager to spearhead our hotel amenities vertical. The primary mandate is to identify upcoming and renovating 3-star and 4-star hotel projects, build relationships with procurement decision-makers, present the Laxree catalog, and convert leads into long-term supply partnerships.
This is a high-ownership, field-heavy role. The right candidate understands the hospitality procurement, can work consultatively with hotel teams, and is motivated by closing accounts — not just generating activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
- Identify upcoming 3-star and 4-star hotel projects through industry databases, construction tracking portals, broker networks, and ground intelligence.
- Map procurement contacts — Owners, General Managers, Purchase Managers, and Housekeeping Managers — at target properties.
- Build and maintain a structured pipeline of active leads across assigned geographies.
- Conduct catalog presentations and product demonstrations tailored to each hotel's category and requirements.
- Understand the hotel's pre-opening timeline and align Laxree's supply readiness accordingly.
- Prepare and deliver customised proposals covering product specs, pricing, sampling, and payment terms.
- Coordinate with the internal team for samples, mock rooms, and trial orders.
- Negotiate and close amenities supply agreements with procurement teams.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of recent accounts — first order, timely delivery, and initial quality checks.
- Build long-term relationships to secure repeat business, annual contracts, and cross-sell opportunities across the Laxree catalog.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, pipeline status, and deal stages in the internal CRM or reporting format.
- Share weekly updates on lead progress, key meetings,
and market feedback with management.
- Provide actionable inputs on competitor pricing, market demand, and product gaps to inform catalog and pricing decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience & Background
- 3–6 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in hotel supplies, hospitality consumables, linen, F&B; products, or related categories.
- Demonstrated track record of closing supply deals with 3-star / 4-star hotel properties or hospitality groups.
- Existing relationships with hotel procurement teams, chains, or management companies is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with the pre-opening procurement cycle of new hotel projects is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong consultative selling ability — can position Laxree as a trusted partner, not just a vendor.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi.
- Comfortable working independently in the field with a target-driven mindset.
- Organised, with the ability to manage a large pipeline without dropping follow-ups.
- Proficient in WhatsApp Business, email communication, and basic reporting tools.
Mindset
- Ownership mentality — treats the vertical as their own business.
- Resilient and persistent without being pushy; builds relationships that convert over time.
- Willing to travel extensively across assigned regions.
What Laxree Offers
- Competitive fixed salary commensurate with experience.
- Performance-linked incentives on deals closed.
- Travel allowances and field expense reimbursement.
- Direct access to senior management — minimal bureaucracy, fast decision-making.
- Opportunity to build and eventually lead the hospitality sales function as the vertical scales.
Key Performance Indicators
- Number of new hotel accounts onboarded per quarter.
- Revenue generated from the hospitality vertical.
- Pipeline size and conversion rate.
- Average deal closure time.
- Client retention and repeat order rate.
