As a Technology Lead at our fast-growing FinTech startup, you will own end-to-end product engineeringfrom core wealth management architecture to hands-on implementation and team execution. You will bridge the gap between product strategy and deep financial engineering, designing modular, high-throughput microservices capable of handling real-time financial market data, complex financial modeling, and high-frequency equity/stock platform operations.

We are looking for a pragmatic, high-ownership engineering leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, writes clean code, understands the nuances of financial data structures, and elevates the team around them. The job entails working at a computer for extended periods and communicating effectively across engineering, product, and leadership channels via asynchronous and real-time collaboration tools.

Role & responsibilities

- Architecture & Financial System Design: Architect and scale high-performance, low-latency REST and WebSockets/APIs using Python and FastAPI. Design robust database schemas and financial data models tailored for equity/stock platforms, portfolio tracking, and automated financial modeling.
- Domain Alignment & Data Engineering: Build resilient systems to ingest, process, and store real-time stock market feeds, order execution logs, and historical wealth management datasets, ensuring strict data consistency and zero-loss transactional integrity.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Drive hands-on coding (roughly 50-60% of the time), perform thorough code reviews, enforce strict financial security best practices (e.g., encryption at rest/in transit, data masking), and mentor full-stack engineers.




- End-to-End Delivery: Own all phases of the SDLCfrom initial product scoping and technical specifications for wealthtech features to CI/CD deployment, system monitoring, and post-production hypercare.
- DevOps & Infrastructure: Build and maintain scalable, containerized infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure 99.9% uptime for business-critical financial services.
- Product Collaboration: Partner directly with product managers, financial analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex financial products and ambitious roadmap items into clear, actionable technical tasks.
- Performance & Reliability: Diagnose system bottlenecks in trade execution or data rendering, optimize complex SQL queries, implement intelligent caching strategies, and maintain robust application observability (logging, APM monitoring).

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated leadership experience driving technical projects or leading engineering teams in fast-paced, product-led environments.
- FinTech Domain Expertise: Strong awareness of stock market concepts, trading lifecycles,



financial instruments (equities, mutual funds, derivatives), and wealthtech regulatory frameworks. Experience working with financial data structures, ticker plants, or portfolio accounting systems is highly preferred.
- Backend & Financial Modeling: Deep expertise in Python and asynchronous frameworks like FastAPI (or Django/Flask), with an exceptional grasp of advanced data structures, async IO, mathematical/statistical computing, and contemporary API standards.
- Frontend & Mobile: Hands-on experience building responsive web interfaces with React (TypeScript, state management) and cross-platform mobile apps with React Native, specifically designing clean charts, financial tickers, and high-density financial dashboards.
- Data & Databases: Advanced relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) database experience, including precise schema design for transactional financial Ledgers, complex query optimization, and ORM usage (SQLAlchemy, Prisma). Experience with NoSQL or Time-Series databases (e.g., TimescaleDB, Redis) is a major plus.
- Cloud & DevOps: Direct experience with AWS/GCP, container orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker, and configuring secure CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- System Architecture: Proven ability to design event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), microservices, and modern third-party API integrations (e.g., broker integrations, KYC verification, payment gateways).
- Agile & Execution: Comfortable navigating rapid iteration, MVPs, and moving fast without sacrificing financial compliance, data security, or code quality.
