PAM Automation Role Update:

- This is a Cloud Automation role (what I would call it a DevOps Automation Engineer)
- Primary skills are Ansible Automation experience in the cloud
- Experience with Terraform in the Cloud building pipelines
- Experience with Lambda
- Experience with GitHub for automation in the Cloud
- CyberArk experience is needed at intermediate level
- Familiarity with CyberArk as they will be automating CyberArk processes and procedures
- They will not be doing any troubleshooting, upgrades or actual CyberArk Security work that is another team

Role Summary

The PAM Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions for Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms. This role focuses on streamlining privileged account onboarding, access provisioning, password rotation, compliance reporting, and integrations with enterprise systems to enhance security, efficiency, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows for PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, Azure PIM, or equivalent).
- Automate onboarding and lifecycle management of privileged accounts across infrastructure, applications, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Develop scripts and tools to support password rotation, credential vaulting, session management, and access approvals.
- Integrate PAM platforms with IAM systems (e.g., Azure AD, Active Directory, LDAP), ticketing tools (ServiceNow), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain APIs, connectors, and custom plugins to support PAM automation use cases.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to implement least?privilege access models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PAM automation issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures.




- Support audit and compliance requirements by automating reporting and evidence collection.
- Document automation processes, scripts, standards, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in security reviews, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in PAM, IAM, or cybersecurity engineering roles.
- Strong hands?on experience with at least one PAM platform (CyberArk preferred).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages .
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
- Solid understanding of:
- Privileged access controls
- Identity lifecycle management
- Authentication and authorization concepts
- Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud?based PAM solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem?solving skills.
