Shift In-Charge – Maintenance

Industry: Biogas / Bio-CNG Plant

Location: Ankleshwar

Experience: 2 to 6 Years in Biogas Plant Maintenance is mandatory

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Shift In-Charge – Maintenance to oversee and manage maintenance

activities during the assigned shift at our Biogas/Bio-CNG plant. The ideal candidate should have handson experience in the Maintenance Department of a Biogas Plant and possess strong troubleshooting,

team management, and plant maintenance skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all maintenance activities during the assigned shift.

• Ensure smooth and reliable operation of biogas plant equipment and systems.

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

• Handle breakdown maintenance and ensure quick resolution to minimize plant downtime.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and utility-related issues.

• Lead, guide, and monitor the maintenance team during the shift.

• Coordinate closely with the Operations team for maintenance activities and equipment

availability.

• Ensure proper maintenance of critical plant equipment and utilities.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, shift reports, breakdown reports, and equipment

history.





• Ensure proper shift handover and communicate all pending maintenance activities and critical

issues to the incoming shift.

• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, plant SOPs, safety procedures, and maintenance

standards.

• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment

reliability.

• Ensure availability and proper usage of maintenance tools, spares, and consumables.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant efficiency and reduce equipment

downtime.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Biogas/Bio-CNG plant equipment and maintenance practices.

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.

• Good understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Valuable problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Effective communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage maintenance activities under shift operations.

• Strong focus on safety, equipment reliability, and minimizing plant downtime.

Mandatory Experience

Candidates must have relevant experience specifically in the Maintenance Department of a Biogas/BioCNG Plant. Candidates from other industries without relevant Biogas Plant Maintenance experience will

not be considered.

Qualification

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
