Backend Developer — Python / FastAPI Experience: 3 years Employment: Full time Primary Stack: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL About the Role We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with 3 years of hands-on experience in Python and FastAPI. The ideal candidate should be able to independently understand business requirements, design scalable backend solutions, work closely with frontend developers, and contribute to deployment and cloud infrastructure. Experience working with US financial services, asset management, investment management, portfolio data, or related financial products will be highly valuable. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI . Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend business logic. Work extensively with PostgreSQL and SQL , including complex queries, joins, indexing, optimization, transactions, and database design. Have practical knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or similar technologies. Implement caching and performance optimization using Redis or similar caching technologies . Design clean, maintainable, and reusable backend architecture. Understand business requirements and independently convert them into technical solutions. Work closely with React/frontend developers to define API contracts, data structures, validations, and integration requirements. Coordinate with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver features end-to-end. Work with AWS services and understand basic cloud architecture, deployment, monitoring, and security practices. Understand and work with CI/CD pipelines , Git, automated builds, testing,



and deployment processes. Troubleshoot production issues, performance problems, API failures, and database issues. Write unit/integration tests and maintain good code quality. Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend architecture and technical decisions. Understand and work with financial/asset-management data and business workflows. Understands both relational and NoSQL databases. Understands caching and performance optimization. Has practical AWS and CI/CD exposure. Can independently debug and solve production issues. Can communicate effectively with frontend and QA teams. Understands React/API integration at a practical level. Can understand business requirements and convert them into technical implementation. Has experience in US Finance / Asset Management or is capable of learning the domain quickly. Takes ownership of features rather than only completing assigned coding tasks.
