Lead Data Engineer Tentative YOE 8–12 years Positions (FTE) 1 Owns the technical design of the bronze/silver/gold Snowflake QM data foundation and directs the junior data engineers building it. Responsibilities Own the medallion architecture design (bronze/silver/gold) for the QM data foundation on Snowflake Define ELT/CDC pipeline patterns from SAP QM/SD source objects and data quality/contract standards Set standards for dbt (or equivalent) transformation tooling and lineage/cataloguing practice Review pipelines and models built by the junior data engineers; own data quality sign-off Co-ordinate with the Solution Architect and SAP QM Functional Consultant on source-to-target mapping Requirements 8–12 years in data engineering, with deep hands-on Snowflake experience (SQL, Snowpark, Streams/Tasks, Iceberg) Proven medallion architecture design and delivery, ideally with SAP source systems dbt or equivalent transformation tooling; data quality framework design Comfortable owning architecture decisions and directing a small engineering team
