Insight Global are seeking an OBSv2 to AWS S3 Migration Platform Engineer for a leading global financial services client. This role will focus on designing, building, and operating a scalable migration platform responsible for moving large-scale object data from enterprise object storage environments into AWS S3. The position combines cloud engineering, automation, Python development, and migration operations within a highly regulated environment.

This is a permanent position and requires onsite at the client's office in Bangalore. This role requires an immediate notice period. r

Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end migration delivery from enterprise object storage platforms into AWS S3.
- Build and maintain AWS-based orchestration and automation solutions.
- Develop scalable migration workflows, validation processes, and tracking mechanisms.
- Operate high-volume migration tooling and optimise transfer performance.
- Implement monitoring, reporting, governance controls, and operational support processes.
- Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and continuous platform improvement.

Must-Have Requirements Include:

- Strong AWS cloud engineering experience across Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, AWS Batch, SSM Parameter Store, and Secrets Manager.
- Deep understanding of AWS S3,



including large-scale object transfers, lifecycle policies, storage tiers, and metadata management.
- Experience delivering large-scale object storage migrations from S3-compatible platforms into AWS S3.
- Hands-on expertise with rclone, including transfer optimisation, validation, retry handling, logging, and performance tuning.
- Solid Python development experience for automation, APIs, serverless services, and operational tooling.
- Experience designing and operating DynamoDB solutions for tracking, state management, and migration workflows.
- Knowledge of AWS networking and security, including IAM, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPCs, private networking, and least-privilege design.
- Experience with CloudWatch monitoring, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based deployment practices.

- Experience with Dell ECS, OBSv2, or other enterprise object storage platforms.
