Position Title: Electrician / Shift Electrician

Qualification: ITI (Electrical) or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
Reporting To: Electrical Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on heavy textile machinery (spinning frames, airjet looms, warping, sizing machines, processing, and dyeing units).
Electrical Panels & Equipment: Maintain and troubleshoot Motor Control Center (MCC) panels, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), starters, switchgears, and control circuits.
Utility Support: Ensure smooth operation of plant utility equipment including compressors, humidification plants, DG sets, and transformers.
Downtime Reduction: Attend to sudden machine stoppages rapidly to minimize production losses and maintain optimal plant efficiency.
Installation & Wiring:



Carry out current machine installations, cable laying, panel wiring, and motor connections.
Safety Compliance: Strictly follow electrical safety policies, use insulated tools, and practice Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Documentation: Keep daily logs of power consumption, maintenance checklists, and breakdown reports.

Key Requirements & Skills
Hands-on experience with industrial AC/DC motors, drives, and low/medium voltage distribution systems.
Ability to read electrical blueprints, circuit diagrams, and schematic drawings.
Proficiency in using testing instruments like multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.
Physical fitness and willingness to work in rotating shifts (including night shifts) common in the textile sector.
