Job Summary
We are looking for a Design Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background and hands-on experience in Creo and AutoCAD. The candidate will be responsible for 2D drafting, 3D modelling, sheet metal design, and preparation of engineering drawings for manufacturing and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
Create 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo and AutoCAD.
Develop sheet metal designs, assemblies, and fabrication drawings.
Prepare and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings.
Design mechanical components and fabricated structures as per specifications.
Prepare assembly drawings, detailed drawings and BOMs.
Ensure proper dimensions, tolerances, fitment and design accuracy.
Coordinate with Production, Quality and Fabrication teams for design implementation.
Modify and optimize existing designs based on production requirements.
Support prototype development and resolve design-related issues.
Ensure designs are practical and suitable for manufacturing.
Required Skills
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
0–2 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design / Manufacturing.
Hands-on experience in Creo is preferred.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.
Knowledge of 3D modelling, sheet metal design and assembly design.
Ability to understand engineering drawings and design specifications.
Basic knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Positive communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with experience in sheet metal, fabrication, industrial machinery, material handling equipment or manufacturing will be preferred.
Freshers with solid Creo/AutoCAD skills and relevant academic/project experience may also be considered.
