A forklift operator drives industrial trucks to load, unload, stack, and move heavy materials safely around a warehouse, factory, or storage yard.
Core Responsibilities
Load and Unload: Move incoming and outgoing goods from trucks, rail cars, or shipping containers.
Transport Stock: Carry raw materials to workstations and finished products to storage locations.
Manage Inventory: Scan barcodes using radio frequency (RF) scanners and log inventory movements.
Inspect Equipment: Check brakes, steering, and hydraulics daily, and report any needed repairs.
Maintain Safety: Follow workplace safety rules and stack loads securely to prevent accidents.
Key Requirements
Certification: Valid forklift operator license or safety certificate.
Physical Skills: Positive hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Attention to Detail: Careful driving habits to prevent damage to valuable goods and facility property.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
