About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Research – Equity to lead and drive the equity research function for a reputed financial services organisation.

The role will involve leading the research team, setting the overall research framework, driving investment insights, and ensuring high-quality, actionable research output across sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Equity Research function and research team.
Drive the overall equity research strategy, methodology, and coverage.
Oversee fundamental research across sectors and companies.
Review and validate research reports, investment views, financial models, and valuation analysis.
Develop solid sector and company-level investment insights.
Guide analysts in conducting detailed financial, industry, and company analysis.
Monitor market developments, corporate actions, sector trends, and key macro factors impacting investments.




Work closely with senior management and internal stakeholders to communicate research views and market perspectives.
Maintain high standards of research quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Build and strengthen the research team's capabilities and coverage.

Ideal Candidate
Strong experience in Equity Research , preferably from a broking / sell-side research background.
Prior experience in leading or managing an Equity Research team/function.
Strong understanding of fundamental research, financial modelling, valuation, and equity markets .
Good track record of producing high-quality research and actionable investment views.
Solid leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Candidates with established sector coverage and solid market understanding will be preferred.
