Pizza Workshop is a growing multi-outlet restaurant brand specializing in handcrafted pizzas and casual dining. We are building a highly structured, data-driven operating system across finance, operations, inventory, sales and reporting.

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Controller / MIS professional who can help us establish strong financial visibility and control across our restaurant operations.

This is not a conventional bookkeeping role. The objective is to convert raw financial and operational data into accurate MIS, cash-flow visibility and actionable management insights.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reconciliation

- Reconcile multiple bank accounts and map transactions to the correct ledgers, stores and business activities.
- Monitor accounts payable, vendor balances and payment obligations.
- Reconcile sales, bank collections and payment settlements.
- Reconcile Zomato, Swiggy and other aggregator sales with actual settlements and deductions.
- Identify unexplained, duplicate or incorrectly classified transactions.

MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports.
- Develop store-wise P&L; and contribution reporting.
- Track sales, food cost %, labour %, packaging, rent, utilities, aggregator costs, marketing spend and other operating expenses.
- Monitor budget vs actual performance and investigate significant variances.
- Build cash-flow reports and short-term cash requirements.
- Track key financial and operational KPIs across outlets.

Business Analysis

- Identify financial leakages, unusual trends and cost-control opportunities.
- Analyse outlet-level profitability and cash generation.
- Analyse product/category margins where required.
- Evaluate marketing and aggregator performance from a contribution perspective.




- Convert financial data into clear management insights and recommended actions.

Financial Data Cleanup & System Building

- Work with historical, incomplete or unstructured financial data and progressively bring it into a reliable reporting structure.
- Establish standardised financial reporting formats and workflows.
- Improve processes for transaction recording, reconciliation and reporting.
- Work with accounting, POS, inventory and spreadsheet data to create a connected management reporting system.

What We Are Looking For
- 3–8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, MIS, FP&A;, Controllership, Business Finance or Management Reporting.
- Experience with restaurants, QSR, retail, hospitality or other multi-unit/high-volume businesses preferred.
- Strong understanding of P&L;, cash flow, working capital and management reporting.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and financial data cleanup.
- Ability to analyse large volumes of transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Experience with POS, accounting software and aggregator reporting is an advantage.
- Ability to independently structure a problem rather than simply follow an existing process.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information in straightforward business terms.

We are looking for someone who can answer:

"Where did the money go, why did it go there, what is happening at each outlet, and what should management pay attention to? "

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with imperfect data initially and building the system progressively.

Engagement

This is initially a part-time / fractional role, with the possibility of expanding the engagement based on performance and business requirements.

Candidates may be evaluated through a paid practical assignment involving sample restaurant financial data.
