The Ocean Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing, negotiating, managing, and executing competitive ocean freight pricing strategies across import, export, cross-trade, and project cargo movements.

The role will manage relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and internal sales/operations teams to ensure competitive buying, accurate quotations, healthy margins, and rapid response to RFQs and customer enquiries.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of global ocean freight markets, shipping-line tariffs, local/port charges, free time, equipment availability, surcharges, and trade-lane dynamics.

Requirements

Essential
6–10 years of experience in ocean freight pricing/procurement.
Robust FCL pricing experience.
Valuable knowledge of major global trade lanes.
Strong understanding of shipping-line tariffs and local charges.
Experience negotiating with shipping lines/NVOCCs.




Experience handling customer RFQs and tenders.
Strong commercial and analytical skills.
Excellent Excel skills and ability to work with large pricing datasets.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred
Experience with project cargo / special equipment.
Experience in cross-trade pricing.
Exposure to LCL pricing.
Experience with freight-forwarding ERP/TMS/CRM systems.
Experience managing pricing teams.
Knowledge of digital pricing tools or automated quotation platforms.
Experience working with international customers and overseas agents.
