Role & responsibilities
Maintain and update maintenance-related documentation, including logbooks, check sheets, SOPs, and Work Instructions (WI).
Carry out breakdown and preventive maintenance of packing lines and utility equipment.
Handle manpower and coordinate maintenance activities during shifts.
Troubleshoot and maintain dairy/food processing equipment, including:
Homogenizers
Pasteurizers
Continuous Freezers
Candy & Cone Lines
Hardening Tunnels
Cup Filling Machines
Perform maintenance of utility and mechanical equipment such as:
Pumps
Compressors
Chillers
Dryers
Boilers
Pipelines and fittings
Gearboxes
Bearings
Conveyors
Have valuable knowledge of mechanical fitting tools and measuring instruments.
Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance schedules and timely troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns.
Follow basic safety procedures and GMP (Valuable Manufacturing Practices) while carrying out maintenance activities.
Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
34 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Maintenance, preferably in the Food/Dairy/Manufacturing industry.
