Join our Asia Regional People Culture team within our Employee Relations (ER) team responsible for providing legal advice and support around employment-related matters in India. Reporting to the Employee Relations Lead based in Hong Kong, this role will work with staff at all levels in Gurugram, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide strategic employee relations advice across the full employment lifecycle, supporting matters such as performance management, terminations, restructures, mergers and acquisitions, employment documentation, and litigation risk management. As Macquarie undergoes significant organisational change, you will play a key role in driving employee relations and employment law initiatives across India while contributing to regional and global priorities and helping shape the future of work. Partnering closely with PC Business Partners and Country PC, you will oversee workplace behaviour and equal employment prospect matters, including employee consultations, complaints, investigations, and the implementation of appropriate outcomes.

Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Law degree or equivalent strongly preferred)
Proven experience of 10+ years working either in private practice covering employment law or within a Human Resources function providing consultative Employee Relations advice to stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to deliver both on the transactional day to day work as well as the strategic and advisory work
You will have a minimum of two to five years of employment law experience with a thorough understanding of employment law frameworks in India.
Demonstrative ability to lead and adapt to change, with experience leveraging AI tools and technologies considered highly desirable.
High level of integrity, excellent attention to detail, flexibility in your approach to work, as well as the ability to adapt to a constantly changing workplace.
