Role Summary
We are looking for an organised, communicative and detail-oriented Placement Intern (6 Months) to support the placement operations of the NIC project. You will be the link between our learners, the placement team and our clients. You will keep placement data accurate and up to date, coordinate day-to-day execution, and follow up with stakeholders so that placement activities run smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Placement Data Management
Collect, update and maintain learner and placement data in trackers and MIS reports
Clean, validate and standardise data: remove duplicates, fix formatting errors, fill gaps and verify records against source documents
Prepare regular status reports and dashboards for the placement team
Maintain data confidentiality and version control
2. Learner Coordination
Act as the point of contact for learners on placement-related queries
Communicate schedules, eligibility criteria, documentation needs and interview or drive details
Follow up with learners for profile completion, document submission and attendance at placement events
Keep track of learner status through the placement pipeline (shortlisted, interviewed, selected, joined)
3. Client Coordination and Follow-ups
Hold regular communication with client SPOCs via email, calls and messages
Follow up on pending requirements, feedback, interview outcomes and closures
Share candidate profiles and updates in the required formats
Escalate delays or issues to the team lead in good time
4. Execution Support
Help plan and run placement activities such as drives, interviews and orientation sessions
Coordinate logistics and documentation for client meetings
Travel to client locations for meetings or on-ground execution when required
Support the placement team with any ad hoc tasks connected to the NIC project
Required Skills and Competencies
Sound understanding of data handling and data cleaning
Strong written and verbal communication
Valuable coordination and follow-up discipline, with the ability to manage several stakeholders at once
Confidence in speaking with clients and learners professionally
Willingness to travel for client meetings whenever required
Attention to detail, ownership and a sense of urgency
Added advantage:
Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets (filters, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation)
Prior internship or exposure to placements, recruitment, operations or client servicing
Qualification and Experience
Graduate or postgraduate (BBA, MBA/PGDM in HR or Operations, B.Com, BA or equivalent). Final-year students and fresh graduates are welcome.
0–1 year of experience. Relevant internship experience is preferred.
