Contacting the shipping lines and airlines for rates on a daily basis
Understanding the cost headings in detail.
Negotiation of rates and the payment terms with the shipping lines and airlines
Quoting the rates to the concerned sales on multiple lines.
Resolving rates related issues in time with the lines
Checking the invoices raised by the shipping lines and authenticating the same.
Coordinating with the sales and finance teams to ensure the release of the shipping line dues in time
Maintaining the inventory levels report at all the major locations
Updating the self and the team on the current changes evolving in the costings related to the freights & other charges
Analysing the pricing patterns of the lines for every sector once in a quarter and sharing the learnings to the management
