Role & responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, and engineering items.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely procurement at competitive prices.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Identify and develop recent vendors while evaluating supplier performance.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Monitor inventory levels and optimize procurement to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.
Prepare purchase orders, maintain procurement records, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Handle vendor negotiations, rate contracts, cost reduction initiatives, and value engineering.
Ensure timely resolution of supplier quality and delivery issues.
Prepare procurement MIS reports and monitor purchase budgets
Possess knowledge of supply chain concepts such as VMI, JIT, Milk Run,



and supplier development best practices.

Required Skills:
Robust experience in procurement and vendor management in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Understanding of inventory management, supply chain, and purchase planning.
Experience in strategic sourcing and cost optimization.

Preferred: Experience in manufacturing industry with exposure to local and domestic procurement.
