Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to handle quality inspection and control activities in a manufacturing workplace. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to sheet metal, fabrication, welding, automotive components, or material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections.
Inspect raw materials, fabricated components, welded assemblies, and finished products.
Identify and report quality defects, dimensional deviations, welding defects, and fitment issues.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection using precision measuring instruments.
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and NCR activities.
Ensure products meet required quality standards and customer specifications.
Maintain quality records, inspection reports, check sheets, and calibration records.
Assist in preparing and maintaining Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and quality documentation.
Monitor fabrication and welding processes for quality compliance.
Conduct/assist in coating and finish inspections,



including paint, powder coating, and galvanizing.
Support implementation of ISO 9001 quality practices.

Required Skills
Knowledge of 7 QC Tools
Understanding of GD&T;
Knowledge of RCA, CAPA and NCR
Hands-on experience with Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and other measuring instruments
Basic understanding of fabrication and welding quality
Valuable documentation and reporting skills

Education
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering

Candidate Profile
0–2 years of relevant Quality/QA/QC experience
