We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor & Estimation Engineer with 4 years of experience in the Solar Power Industry. The candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, subcontractor billing, BOQ preparation, and coordination with project execution teams for solar projects.
The ideal candidate should possess robust knowledge of solar EPC projects, electrical and civil quantities, rate analysis, and project billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying
Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and site data.
Verify BOQs for civil, structural, and electrical works related to solar projects.
Monitor project quantities and maintain quantity reconciliation statements.
Conduct site measurements and validate executed work quantities.
Coordinate with project execution teams for quantity tracking and progress updates.
Billing & Commercial Activities
Prepare subcontractor bills.
Verify contractor bills as per work completion and BOQ.
Maintain billing records, payment tracking, and invoice documentation.
Coordinate with accounts and project teams for payment certifications.
Ensure compliance with contract terms and billing schedules.
Prepare variation statements and extra item claims.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain estimation sheets, BOQs, billing registers, and MIS reports.
Prepare project progress reports and cost status reports.
Ensure proper filing of drawings, approvals, and commercial documents.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of Solar EPC projects.
Expertise in quantity surveying and project billing.
Understanding of electrical and civil works in solar plants.
Knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and estimation techniques.
Familiarity with contract management and tender documentation.
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
MS Excel
ERP/SAP (preferred)
Educational Qualification
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Experience
4 years of experience in:
Solar Power Projects
Solar EPC
Utility-scale or rooftop solar installations
Experience handling commercial and billing activities / project execution for renewable energy projects.
