Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to drive the end-to-end delivery of enterprise data
and reporting initiatives across a central data and analytics function supporting multiple business
domains. The role is responsible for understanding business needs, analysing business processes and data,
assessing solution feasibility, translating business requirements into functional specifications, and
partnering with Data Engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions on Azure. The
successful candidate will support the complete delivery lifecycle, from discovery and analysis through
development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities
• Partner with business stakeholders across multiple domains to elicit, analyse, challenge, and
document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions.
• Perform business analysis, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and gap analysis to understand current-
state processes, validate business rules, identify data quality issues, and define future-state solutions.
• Evaluate the functional and technical feasibility of business requirements by assessing
implementation approaches, dependencies, risks, and solution options in collaboration with technical
teams.
• Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents
(FRDs), process flows, business rules, source-to-target mappings, acceptance criteria, and other




project artefacts.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for implementation
by Data Engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC),
providing requirement clarification, reviewing implementation progress, resolving functional issues,
and ensuring successful solution delivery.
• Write and optimise SQL queries against Azure Synapse and Salesforce staging data to analyse,
validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot complex datasets, supporting data validation and root cause
analysis.
• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, and DAX measures to deliver
trusted business insights and enterprise KPI reporting.
• Define and validate functional requirements for enterprise reporting, data integrations, automation
initiatives, and data quality improvements.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT),
manage defect resolution, validate business acceptance criteria, and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
• Support production deployments and post-production hypercare by coordinating issue resolution
between business users and technical teams.

• Maintain project documentation, reporting standards, KPI definitions, governance artefacts, and data




dictionaries while managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders to ensure successful project
delivery.

Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or enterprise
reporting within large or complex organisations.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end requirements from discovery, analysis, and documentation
through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Solid experience in business process analysis, exploratory data analysis, gap analysis, and technical
feasibility assessments.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
for Data Engineering and BI teams.
• Strong SQL skills on Azure Synapse or equivalent MPP/cloud data warehouse, with experience
analysing, validating, and reconciling complex datasets.
• Advanced Power BI expertise, including semantic modelling, DAX, dashboard development, and
enterprise reporting.
• Good understanding of relational databases, ETL/ELT concepts, source-to-target mappings, data
modelling, and data governance principles.
• Experience working collaboratively with Data Engineering teams within Agile delivery
environments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience producing high-quality BRDs, FRDs, process documentation, and testing artefacts.
• Hands-on experience using AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude to
improve analysis, documentation, and productivity.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving
skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience within the Real Estate industry is preferred but not mandatory.
