Qualification
B.Sc. Chemistry / Physics with ADIS / PDIS
B.Tech / B.E. Electrical Engineering with ADIS / PDIS
Diploma in Electrical Engineering with ADIS / PDIS
Recognized safety qualification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at the thermal power plant site.
Conduct regular site safety inspections, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and audits.
Monitor electrical, mechanical, erection, commissioning, FGD and other construction activities for protected execution.
Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety requirements.
Identify hazards and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Risk Assessment for ongoing activities.
Ensure compliance with work permits, LOTO, height work, confined space, hot work and lifting operations.
Investigate incidents,
near misses and unsafe conditions and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
Maintain daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports and safety documentation.
Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, workers and client safety teams.
Conduct emergency preparedness, fire safety and evacuation drills.
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and client safety requirements.
Stop unsafe work where necessary and ensure corrective action before resumption.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of thermal power plant and FGD project safety practices.
Robust knowledge of electrical and construction safety.
Positive communication and reporting skills.
Ability to handle site-level safety documentation and workforce safety awareness.
Willingness to work at project site and in shifts as required.
