Key Responsibilities
Configure and support SAP HCM Canada Payroll (PY-CA).
Work on Payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, features and payroll rules.
Perform payroll configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
Handle gross-to-net payroll, regular/off-cycle payroll and retroactive payroll.
Support Canadian statutory payroll requirements including:
CPP – Canada Pension Plan
EI – Employment Insurance
Federal and provincial taxation
Garnishments and deductions
Support year-end payroll activities and statutory reporting, including T4/T4A and ROE. SAP documentation confirms these as key Canada payroll reporting capabilities.
Perform payroll reconciliation and investigate payroll calculation discrepancies.
Handle complex production-support incidents and provide root-cause analysis.
Work with PA, OM and Time Management integration with Payroll.
Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements.
Perform Unit Testing, SIT, UAT and parallel payroll testing.
Support SAP payroll upgrades, legislative updates and HR support packs.
Work with business users and clients to understand requirements and provide SAP solutions.
Maintain functional documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members
