We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft BI (MSBI), Oracle and the on-prem Hadoop ecosystem.
This is a core development role (7080% development) focused on building and deploying enterprise data and analytics solutions. We are specifically looking for candidates who combine solid MSBI development with practical data engineering experience.
Must-Have Skills
MSBI: SSIS, SSAS, Power BI
Robust SQL and Oracle experience
On-prem Hadoop ecosystem experience
Working knowledge of Hadoop/HDFS and Hadoop file formats
Apache Spark / PySpark
Apache Airflow for data pipeline orchestration
Data Warehousing / ETL / data modelling
Experience developing and supporting enterprise BI/data solutions
Agile/Scrum and Jira
Good to Have
Microsoft Fabric
Azure/cloud data platforms
Tableau exposure
GenAI / Copilot / Claude experience applied to data engineering
Banking, payments or financial-services domain experience
What You'll Do
Design and develop scalable BI and data engineering solutions
Build and maintain SSIS ETL pipelines and SSAS/Power BI data models
Work with Oracle and Hadoop-based data sources
Use Spark/PySpark for data extraction and transformation
Develop/orchestrate data pipelines using Airflow
Support migration/evolution of data workloads from Oracle toward Hadoop
Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions and solution design
Provide production support and troubleshoot data/BI issues through Jira/ITSM
Ideal Candidate A strong fit would be a BI/Data Engineer with MSBI + Oracle + Hadoop experience, who has hands-on exposure to Spark and Airflow and is comfortable working in an on-prem enterprise data setting. Significant: This is not an Azure Data Engineer / cloud-only role.
Azure, Fabric or cloud certifications alone will not qualify. Candidates whose experience is primarily Domo, Tableau, WebFOCUS, analyst/BI reporting, or cloud-only data engineering will not align with the requirement.
