Role & responsibilities
47 years of experience in QA/test automation or software engineering with a solid testing focus, including experience testing data pipelines, ETL/ELT systems, or BI platforms.
Robust SQL skills comfortable writing complex validation queries against a Snowflake (or similar cloud warehouse) setting, including CTEs, window functions, and cross-schema comparisons.
Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch or significantly extending them Python-based automation preferred; comfort with API testing (REST) and message-based systems (Kafka or equivalent).
Experience validating BI/reporting layers — understanding of concepts like Row-Level Security, semantic models, and dashboard-vs-report parity testing (Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, or similar).
Familiarity with data governance and access-control validation, especially in multi-tenant or multi-party data-sharing contexts (secure data sharing, schema-level permissioning).




Ability to design test strategy independently — this role requires deciding what to test and why, not just executing a handed-down test plan.
Strong communication skills to translate data quality findings for both engineering and business/reporting stakeholders.
Nice to have: exposure to CDC tools/patterns, experience with legacy-to-cloud migration testing, or exposure to Snowflake-native features (secure views, data sharing, cross-cloud replication).
