The purpose of the position is to utilize knowledge to develop creative, technically sound and cost-effective packaging solutions for current motive battery charger electronics. The individual is an energetic professional who can work both individually and with a team.
Job Duties
Design packages and enclosures ( Sheet metal ) for power electronic circuits. Support the product line from concept to production.
Create manufacturing documentation ( Complete Pre-Quote and Final design packets including Fixture & Tooling designs, Component & Assembly drawings along with Bills of Material & product routings.)
Analyze methods and suppliers for cost reductions on assemblies and equipment
Document designs so they can be adequately manufactured within the time and budget targets
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering;
4 to 6 years of experience in a development team
Experience packaging power electronic circuits and industrialization
Experience using Solidworks package
Good verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Skills
Experience doing thermal/cooling calculations
Working knowledge of electrical interconnect technologies including cable and harness, connectors, power distribution and signal interconnects
