Senior Merchandiser

Location: Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu

Function: Merchandising for Apparel Exports Industry

About the Role

We are looking for a Merchandiser – Senior to manage marketing merchandising, product development, pre- and post-order activities, local sourcing, sampling, and coordination with customers, vendors, and factories.

Key Responsibilities
Manage product development, sampling, fit approvals, R&D;, sealing samples, and production files.
Understand tech packs and ensure samples, measurements, quality, and timelines meet buyer requirements.
Coordinate with factories, customers, internal teams, and vendors for smooth order execution.
Support current customer development, market intelligence, and local buyer requirements.
Develop and maintain fabric/vendor databases, swatches, and sample hangers.
Handle local sourcing of fabrics, trims, and accessories, including order placement and follow-up.
Ensure timely approvals, documentation, order closure, and post-shipment reporting.




Coordinate local and international courier/logistics requirements.
Provide regular updates on sampling and merchandising status.

Requirements

Education: Graduate

Experience:
Senior Merchandiser: 10 years

Key Skills
Solid knowledge of woven and knitted fabrics, garment construction, costing, and product development.
Understanding of garment testing parameters and buyer requirements.
Valuable communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Positive work ethic, learning agility, and critical-thinking ability.
Experience working with factories, vendors, and internal merchandising teams.
Languages known - English, Hindi, Telugu
